There are a lot of activities and attractions available for visitors when they visit the Canon City and Royal Gorge. Royal Gorge Railroad is the most spectacular scenic and historic railroad in the world. It is also where the worlds tallest suspension bridge is found it is called the Royal Gorge Bridge.
Canon City features an exciting river raftering where Arkansas Rivers flow. This river rafting offers different level of difficulties in battling the white waters of the Arkansas River. Canon city also has an award winning Winery at Holy Cross Abbey. This is made possible by Matt Cookson with his expertise and great attention of details in creating the award winning wine. If you do decide to visit Canon City downtown then historic scenery will never disappoint you with its many shops, restaurants and galleries.
On March 27, 2009 from 1:00 PM to 8:00 PM, March 28 from 10:00 AM to 6:00 PM and on March 29 10:00 AM to 5:00 PM there will be a Metaphysical Fair. New Age Imports is having a community event that awakens ones inner knowledge to help us in these uncertain times.
Metaphysical Fair is helping to raise food for the local Food Bank by the admission of their fair. Admission to this fair is $5.00 for one day pass and a $8.00 weekend pass. But there will be a $1.00 discount if you will donate food to the local food bank.
There will be a free workshop on how to free you from stress, Rediscover yourself, Shamanic Journeys, New and improved Antioxidants, improving your health and well being. Beside the free workshop there will also be artists, dancers, healers, quality readers and informational classes.
The Metaphysical fair will feature different crafts like a potpourri from different vendors. Other vendors that will feature a little something to make anyone smile like salt lamps, jewelry, clothes, chimes, dragons, fairies and many more.
